If you want to get your hands dirty, volunteer your time at Bathampton Meadows or with Friends of Sydney Gardens.

Citizen Science

Kingfisher

Take part in the Big River Watch  to help monitor river health and record sightings  (common or rare!)

Record wildlife

Help us build a better picture of the plants and animals that call the Bath River Line home. Whether you’re spotting birds, mammals, insects or wildflowers, your observations make a real difference.

You can record wildlife in several ways, each with a slightly different purpose:

Which should I use?

  • Record everything you spot on iNaturalist
  • Record mammals specifically on Mammal Mapper
  • Submit important or notable records (especially rare species) to BRERC to support local conservation and planning
